Born on March 6, 1946, in Calhoun County, Mississippi, Bishop Jennings lived a life dedicated to his calling and left an indelible impact on everyone he encountered.

The son of the late Willie Jennings and Jennie Pearl Buchanan, Bishop Jennings was raised with sound values and principles. His upbringing laid the foundation for his unwavering commitment to his faith and his tireless efforts in spreading the word of God. Alongside his parents, he was also deeply cherished by his late  sister Allene Jennings Miller.

Bishop Jennings touched countless lives throughout his years as a servant of the Church of the Living God. Known for his captivating sermons and profound teachings, he inspired congregations with messages of love, forgiveness, and hope. His commitment to nurturing spiritual growth and fostering unity within the community served as an example for all who knew him.

Outside of his work in the church, Bishop Jennings was a devoted father to his son Andre' Jennings. He instilled in him the same values he held dear and encouraged him to walk in the path of righteousness. His love for Andre' knew no bounds, and their bond will forever be cherished.

Bishop Jennings was also surrounded by a loving network of siblings who provided unwavering support throughout his life. His brothers Willie L. Jennings Jr., Jimmy D. Jennings, Lonnie Jennings, and C.W. Jennings stood by him through thick and thin, offering not just familial love but also camaraderie that transcended blood ties. Similarly, his sisters Annie Lee Wortham, Morine Taylor, Mary Holmes, and Ada Noble provided invaluable companionship and served as beacons of strength during challenging times.

Deeply rooted in Calhoun City's tight-knit community throughout his life, Bishop Jennings influenced countless lives with his gentle spirit and unyielding devotion. His impact spread far beyond the city limits, leaving a lasting imprint on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

To honor Bishop Jennings' life and legacy, a visitation will be held on November 10, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Church of the Living God located at 136 Willis Avenue in Calhoun City, Mississippi. Friends, loved ones, and members of the community are invited to pay their respects during this time.

A funeral service will follow on November 11, 2023, beginning at 12:00 PM noon at the same location. The service will be a solemn yet joyous celebration of Bishop Jennings' life and his unwavering dedication to his faith. The Church of the Living God will serve as a sanctuary to commemorate his journey and bid him farewell surrounded by love and prayers.
