Annie B. Smith

Annie Bryd Smith, 94, a beloved cook, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point, Mississippi. Born on February 28, 1930, in Chickasaw County, Mississippi, she lived a full and vibrant life, bringing joy and nourishment to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Annie will be remembered for her exceptional skills in the kitchen, where she shared her love for cooking with family, friends, and the community. Her warm demeanor and delicious meals created memories that will linger in the hearts of those she served.

She was the daughter of Roy L. Box and Annie R. Box Huddleston, both of whom preceded her in death. The impact of their love and guidance shaped Annie into the caring woman she became, and she cherished her upbringing in the rich culture of Mississippi.

A celebration of Annie's life will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Union Missionary Baptist Church, located at 16170 Hwy 47, Prairie, MS 39756. Friends and loved ones are invited to a viewing starting at 12:00 PM, followed by a heartfelt Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM. These gatherings will provide an opportunity for all those whose lives she touched to come together in remembrance and honor of her legacy.
