Interment: Oddfellows Rest Cemetery, Aberdeen, MS

He is survived by two daughters, Sherry and Deborah Gates, 1 brother, Mickey Gates, and 3 sisters, Minnie Mae Gates, Leomia Boyd, and Linda Cunningham
