Bonita Hill

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bonita Hill, who left us on April 24th, 2023 at North MS Medical Center. Bonita was born on August 11th, 1946 in Chicago, IL to Nathan and Mamie Murray. She was a devoted mother to her two sons, Richard A. Boone III (Regina) and Stephen T. Boone (Sharice), and had a special place in her heart for her eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Bonita was known for her hard work and dedication to her career as an administrator at Children Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. However, she will be remembered most for her unwavering commitment to her faith and the Lord. Her faith played an essential role in shaping her life, and she instilled its values into both her children and grandchildren.

Bonita will be missed by all who knew her, but especially by her surviving siblings: Nathan, Kenneth, Michael Murray, and Linda Shaw-Tate. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she will now rest in peace with the Lord.

Bonita's family will receive friends during visitation at First M.B. Church located at 513 N Matubba St, Aberdeen, MS on May 5th between 2 p.m.to 3 p.m., immediately following which a funeral service in honor of our beloved Bonita will take place at 3p.m. at the same location. Friends are welcome to come support the family as they celebrate the life of Bonita- a woman loved by so many.

One of Bonita's proudest accomplishments was being a member of First M.B. Church. The church opened its doors to Bonita when she arrived in Aberdeen a few years ago as an outsider seeking a spiritual home away from home. 

Bonita was a kind, loving, and caring person who will be remembered by all who knew her. Her memory will live on through those whom she touched in her life. Our condolences to the family and friends of Bonita Hill, a woman who left a significant impact on those around her and who is now reunited with the Lord.
