Calvin Carodine, Jr.

Calvin Carodine, Jr., 53,  a cherished member of his community, was born on November 29, 1970, in Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi. He passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, in Buena Vista, MS, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience that will not be forgotten.

Calvin was deeply loved by his family. He is survived by his mother, Effie Ree Beaty-Johnson, who provided unwavering support and guidance throughout his life; his son, Cornellius Delane, and daughter, Shanika Clark (Wayne) Smith, who were sources of pride and joy for him; and his sister, Jennifer Carodine-Fagerlie, with whom he shared countless memories and bonds that strengthened their family ties.

He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Carodine, Sr., who embraced his son with deep affection and taught him the values that shaped the man he became.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Calvin's life and the impact he made on all who knew him. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129, Aberdeen, MS 39730. A Celebration of Life will follow on Saturday, September 14, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM at Center Hill Missionary Baptist Church, situated at 1872 Wofford Drive, Houston, MS 38851.
