Charlie Ray Gray, 56, a beloved father, special friend, and cherished brother, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo Mississippi. Born on May 10, 1968, in Big Creek, Calhoun County, Mississippi, Charlie's life was marked by a deep commitment to his family and friends, leaving lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Charlie is survived by his two daughters, Kerry Anna Gray and Paisley Gray, who brought immense joy to his life. His bond with them was unwavering, reflecting a dedication that defined his role as a father. In addition to his daughters, Charlie shared a special friendship with Shantel Wofford, who enriched his life with companionship and support.
Charlie's legacy also lives on through his beloved four sisters: Rosie Poindexter, Ora Moore, Elois Gray-Hall, and Margie Poindexter, each of whom shared a unique and cherished relationship with him. He is further survived by his five brothers, Sylvester Gray, Willie Poindexter, Jimmy Jr. Gray, Jimmy Lee Gray, Jr., and Bobby Wayne Gray, who stood by him through the highs and lows of life.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carrie Johnson, and his father, Jimmy Lee Gray, both of whom hold a special place in the hearts of those who remember them.
A Celebration of Life for Charlie Gray will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, beginning at 12:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, Mississippi.
