Derek Earl Johnson

Derek Earl Johnson, 51, born on October 3, 1972, in Monroe County, MS, peacefully passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, in Aberdeen - Monroe County - MS. He was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend. With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a remarkable individual who left an indelible mark on the lives he touched.

Derek's life will be celebrated during two services that pay tribute to the man whose presence illuminated countless lives. The first event is a Visitation scheduled for Friday, December 22, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129 in Aberdeen, MS. Friends and family will gather to reminisce about Derek's vibrant spirit and share stories of their cherished memories.

The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Daniel Missionary Baptist Church situated at 1516 South Matubba Street in Aberdeen, MS beginning at 2:00 PM.  This service will serve as a heartfelt farewell to Derek's physical presence. It is during this time that his loved ones will unite in prayer and celebration of a life well-lived.

As a loving father to Xavier Robinson, Derek cherished every moment spent with his son. Their bond transcended the ordinary as they embarked on adventures together through laughter and love. The foundation Derek laid for Xavier will forever be a testament to his character and devotion.

Derek's parents Larry Crump and Earnestine Johnson held a special place in his heart. Their unwavering support and unconditional love helped shape him into the extraordinary person he became. Derek's sisters Teresa Reid and Accietra Johnson were not only siblings but also confidants who shared a lifetime of memories with him.

Though his physical presence may no longer be with us, Derek's spirit will continue to shine brightly through the memories he leaves behind. We will forever remember his joyous laughter, his empathetic heart, and the way he made us feel valued and cherished.
