Destiny Miata Sims, 28, a talented skilled loctician who touched many lives with her creativity and passion, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, in Prairie, Mississippi. Born on December 24, 1996, in Columbus, Lowndes County, Mississippi, Destiny brought joy and artistry into the world through her work and her vibrant spirit.
She is lovingly remembered by her family, including her devoted parents, Alforzinie Sims (Father) and Terrika Dobbs Sims (Mother). Destiny was a cherished sister to: Kemar Sims (Brother); Tijah Sims, Trinitee Sims, and Kierra Hill (Sisters). Each of her family members will carry forward the love, light, and laughter that Destiny radiated in their lives.
Destiny’s commitment to her craft as a loctician not only showcased her skill but also allowed her to forge meaningful connections within her community. She had a gift for uplifting those around her, and her legacy will undoubtedly live on through the countless individuals inspired by her talent and warmth.
Visitation services for Destiny will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129, in Aberdeen, MS. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM at the Aberdeen High School Gymnasium, located at 205 Hwy 145 North, in Aberdeen, MS.
