Ethan Quartez Word, 34, born on October 16, 1989, bid farewell to this world on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. He was a beloved son of Shannon McKissick, Jr. and Barbara McMillian.

Those who had the privilege knowing Ethan will remember him as a kind-hearted soul with a warm smile that could light up the darkest room. His compassion knew no bounds, and his presence brought comfort to all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.

In his journey through life, Ethan found love and companionship in Lashari Hopkins, his devoted Fiancee'.  Ethan leaves behind to cherish his memories, a daughter, Emeri Linzy. His family was his pillar of strength, and he shared a special bond with his sisters: Hope Word, Jeanette Hall, and Ebony Morris.

As we come to terms with Ethan's untimely departure, we find solace in the cherished memories he leaves behind. His legacy of love, kindness, and joy will continue to inspire all those who were touched by his remarkable spirit.

The services to honor and celebrate Ethan's life will be held at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen on Friday, May 3, 2024 for visitation from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Daniel Missionary Baptist Church in Aberdeen beginning at 2:00 PM..

Ethan Quartez Word may have left this world physically, but his memory will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
