It is with great sympathy that we announce the passing of Fred David Johnson, 70, on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at his home in Birmingham, AL.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 2 pm at St. Peter U. M. Church in Aberdeen, MS.
Fred "David" Johnson was born to the late Lucille Johnson on April 19, 1953 in Aberdeen, MS.
David accepted Christ at an early age and united with MT. Zion Methodist Church, Aberdeen, MS. During his childhood years he attended Aberdeen Public Schools. David graduated from Aberdeen High School with honors in 1972. David received a four-year academic scholarship from Conoco Chemicals. He went on to continue his education by graduating with a BA Degree from Mississippi State University in 1976.
Upon completing college, David relocated to Birmingham, AL pursuing his career in accounting as well as other professions. David had a love for music. He expressed his love for music in his creative platforms of digital media.
David leaves a legacy of love and courage to his family. He was a joy to be around and will be truly missed by his family and friends.
He departed this life on September 13, 2023 in Birmingham, AL. He was proceeded in death: by his (mother) Lucille Johnson, (grandmother) Isabella H. Johnson ,(great auntie) Sophronia H. Crawford.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two sisters; Laura Walker (West Point, MS) and Kathaleen (Vernon) Morris (Houston, TX). Four brothers: John W Johnson (Aberdeen, MS), Paul E. Johnson, Danny W. Walker (both of Houston, TX) and Jimmy L Walker (Atlanta, GA), 5 nephews and 4 nieces, a host of great nieces and nephews dearly loved cousins (like sisters and brothers), special family friend (Nancy Calloway), and many other love ones and friends.
