Geraldine Crump Mays, 84, a beloved member of her community and a dedicated former auto worker, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025, in Cordova, Tennessee. Born on July 18, 1940, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi, she lived a life marked by hard work and commitment to her family and profession.
Geraldine spent a significant portion of her career as an auto worker at Ford Manufacturing Company, where she earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues for her steadfast dedication and reliability. Her contributions to the workforce exemplified the spirit of perseverance and teamwork that defined her character.
She is preceded in death by her father, Wilchie M. Crump, and her mother, Clentera Sanders. Geraldine's legacy of resilience and strength will be remembered by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 3:00 PM. Both services will take place at the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, located at 20285 Whatley Road, Aberdeen, MS 39730.
