Gloria Jean Sims

Gloria Jean Sims, 64, a cherished mother and beloved member of her community, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Born on April 9, 1960, in Greenville, Washington County, Mississippi, Gloria touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Laketia Petty, who will carry forward the legacy of love and strength that Gloria instilled in her. As a devoted mother, Gloria held a special place in her heart for her family, and her devotion was evident in every aspect of her life.

The community is invited to celebrate Gloria’s life during a visitation scheduled for Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life service beginning at  2:00 PM. Both events will take place at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, Mississippi, located at 138 E Washington Street.

Gloria’s presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to resonate through the lives she touched. As we gather to honor her memory, let us reflect on the joy she brought into this world and the love that remains in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
