It is with heavy hearts that we announce passing of Hiawatha "Whop" Hall, 76, on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, whose impact will be remembered by all those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Born on April 9, 1947, in Aberdeen - Monroe County - MS, Hiawatha was the daughter of Alfonzo McNuckle and Maeola Smith. She brought joy and laughter into their lives the moment she entered the world. Hiawatha grew up in a nurturing environment that emphasized love, respect, and compassion for others.
Throughout her life, Hiawatha embodied these values in every interaction she had. She was a pillar of strength for her daughters Tracie Foster and Rosiland Barr. Her unconditional love and unwavering support guided them through life's ups and downs. Hiawatha's presence filled their lives with warmth and comfort that will forever be treasured.
Hiawatha's love for her family extended beyond her immediate kin. She had a gift for forging deep connections and touched the lives of many friends who became like family to her. Her kindness knew no bounds, as she selflessly offered assistance and wise advice to anyone in need.
Hiawatha's legacy of compassion left an indelible mark on the community she called home. Countless lives have been touched by her acts of kindness and generosity. Whether it was lending a helping hand at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church or her community. Hiawatha dedicated herself to making the world a better place.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation scheduled at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen, MS on Friday, February 9, 2024. The visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, providing an opportunity for all who knew Hiawatha to share memories and celebrate her remarkable life.
A funeral service will follow on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Caledonia, MS. Starting at 12:00 PM, friends and family will gather to bid farewell to Hiawatha and honor her lasting legacy. The service will be a time of reflection, celebrating the beautiful life she led, and finding solace in the love shared by those who cherished her.
