Jackie Drake - Smith, 63, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on December 4, 2023 in Okolona, Chickasaw County, MS. She was born on November 22, 1960, in Prairie, Monroe County, MS.

Jackie was a warm and compassionate person who touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her kind heart and infectious smile brought joy to those around her. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband Ocie Darrell Smith and a dedicated mother to her sons Darrell Smith, Derrick Smith, and Lafonze Cherry.

Family meant everything to Jackie, and she treasured the time spent with her loved ones. She was the daughter of the late Johnnie Drake Sr. and Georgia Ann Strong. Jackie shared a close bond with her late sister Barbara Drake.  Jackie's precious memories will forever be cherished by her brothers: Curley Drake, Johnnie Drake II, David Drake, Corey (Tonetta) Cunningham, and Anthony (Charlotte) Cunningham. Her sister Jannie Drake held a special place in Jackie's heart.

Jackie's life will be celebrated during two events. The visitation will take place on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129 in Aberdeen, MS. The funeral service will be held the following day on Tuesday, December 12th at 1:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

Throughout her life, Jackie displayed resilience and strength in the face of challenges. Her determination served as an inspiration to all those who knew her. She leaves behind countless memories that will forever remain etched in the hearts of her family and friends.

Jackie Smith will forever be remembered as a kind-hearted soul who brought light into the lives of those around her. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire us all. May she rest in eternal peace.
