James Pargo Sr's life came to a close at the Care Center of Aberdeen on Sunday, August 28,2011, when he passed from labor to reward.
James was born on August 15, 1938 in Aberdeen,MS to Sam and Lugene Pargo, who preceded him in death. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with Ebernezer Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained until his death.
He was a sweet and giving person, always lending a helping hand. He loved and was dedicated to his family.
He is preceded in death by his two brothers, Max and Austin Pargo; two sisters, Virgie Pargo-Herron and Vialo Pargo-Parrot; and one stepson, Ashley Ford.
Cherishing the memory of his life is his devoted wife, Annette Ford-Pargo; four daughters,Annie Jean Gates(Terry) of Okolona,MS Patricia McMillian(Darnell)of Tupelo,MS,Lisa McDonald of Aberdeen,MS, and Bennie L. Smith of Houston,MS; five stepdaughters, Renee Doss(Michael), Minuette Ford, Torye Ford, Maranda Ford and Eunice Ford, all of Aberdeen,MS; two sons, James Pargo,Jr and John Smith(Mary)of Aberdeen,MS; one sister, Sarah Poe of Aberdeen,MS; one brother, Jesse Pargo of Chicago,IL; twenty-seven grandchildred; eight great-grandchldren; and a host of aunts, uncles,nieces,nephews and cousins.
