Jessie Lee Ward, Sr.

Jessie Lee Ward, Sr.,93,  a cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29, 2024, in his hometown of Aberdeen, Mississippi. Born on March 6, 1931, in  Aberdeen (White Rock Community of Monroe County, Jessie lived a full and vibrant life that touched the hearts of many.

He preceded in death by his beloved, Rufus Ward (Father) and Josephine Gates (Mother), who provided him with a strong foundation of love and values that he carried throughout his life. Jessie’s legacy is marked by a commitment to family, friends, and community, serving as an inspiration to all who knew him.

In honor of his life and contributions, a visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129, Aberdeen, MS 39730. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life service, taking place from 2:00 PM at the same location. Family and friends are invited to gather to remember and celebrate the remarkable life of Jessie Lee Ward, Sr.

He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering spirit.
