Jimmie Joe Bradford, 78, a loving husband, dedicated father, and esteemed member of the United States Marine Corps, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 1, 2024, at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was born on November 24, 1945, in Athens - Monroe County, MS, to his proud parents Joe and Roseanna Bradford.
With great sadness, we the loss of Jimmie and remember him for his remarkable contributions to his family, country, and community. Jimmie's military service was a testament to his unwavering commitment to protecting and serving his fellow Americans. He proudly served as a PVT E-1 in the United States Marine Corps and his dedication to duty and honor will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jimmie's love extended beyond his military service. He was a devoted husband to his wife Mary Eleanor Vance - Bradford and a caring father to their daughter Zoneice Bradford. His family was the source of his strength and encouragement throughout his life.
In addition to his outstanding military accomplishments and devotion to his family, Jimmie was known for joining friends and loved ones in worship at Saint Paul Holy Ghost Deliverance Church in Aberdeen, MS. The church provided him with spiritual guidance and hope during both joyous occasions as well as moments of hardship.
Visitation services will be held on Friday, January 5th, 2024 at Saint Paul Holy Ghost Deliverance Church in Aberdeen. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow immediately after beginning at 2:00 PM at the same location. It is during these services that we will come together as a community to honor Jimmie's life and offer our support and comfort to those who have been touched by this tremendous loss.
Jimmie will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever remain in our hearts as we cherish the moments shared with him. May he rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy serve as a reminder of the dedication and sacrifice he made throughout his life.
