Joe Lee Bogan

Joe Lee Bogan, a retired Ford Motor Company employee passed away on May 10th, 2023 at the age of 83 in his hometown of Columbus, MS.

Born on January 20th, 1940 in Okolona, MS, Joe Bogan was a deeply loved and respected individual by many and will be dearly missed. He was a great father to his surviving children: Donnel Keaton, Bobby Joe Bogan, Joseph Jackson, Greta Trimble, Jossett Smith, Sherry Lynn Williams, Kamala Bogan, Sheila Washington, Kenitra Spidle as well as his brother James Bogan.

Joe was a man who truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as sports and western movies. His love for cigars was an extension of that appreciation for simpler moments in life. This made him the kind of person everyone wanted to be around as he had an uncanny ability to turn ordinary moments into joyous ones.

The funeral service will take place on May 27th, 2023 at Jollys Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Okolona, MS where he spent most of his life. It will begin at 11 a.m. to honor and celebrate Joe's life and everything he meant to those who knew him. 

As we mourn and come together to celebrate Joe Lee Bogan's life we can be grateful for the memories and indelible imprint he left behind. The world has lost a great man but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him best.
