John C. "Pomp" Holliday

John C. "Pomp" Holliday, 75,  born on June 15, 1948, in Aberdeen - Monroe County - MS, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo MS. 

John was a cherished son to Joe Willie Holliday (Father) and Elizabeth McNairy (Mother). He will be deeply missed by his surviving family and friends: Izola Evans-Holliday (Wife), Kevin Holliday (Son), Erica Stephens (Daughter), George Holliday, Ronnie Holliday, Lee Holliday, and Calvin Holliday (Brothers), 3 sisters, Josephine Sykes, Martha Rowe, and Brenda Wilson. John is preceded in death by 1 sister, Essie Sykes, and 3 brothers, David Lee, Robert Earl, and Willie Holliday

During his lifetime, John touched the hearts of many with his kindness and generosity. His presence brought light and joy to all those around him.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation service scheduled for Friday, May 24, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, starting at 11:00 AM at New Life Missionary Baptist Church on Darracott Road in Aberdeen. Burial will follow at Oddfellows Rest Cemetery in Aberdeen, MS.

John will forever be remembered for his warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on through the memories he created with those fortunate enough to have known him.
