A well-respected and talented attorney, John "Dudley" Williams, Sr., 61, lost his life in a house fire on June 10, 2016. Dudley was born on October 1, 1954 and raised in Jackson. He moved to Aberdeen in the early 1980s to open his private practice. Dudley graduated from the University of Mississippi and attended Mississippi School of Law. He wanted to be remembered as a loving and good father to his three sons, Hunter, John Dudley, and Marshal. He cared deeply about the Aberdeen community and will be remembered fondly, and terribly missed by his many family and friends. Dudley lived life to the fullest and was a man of varied interests. Surviving family members are his wife, Jeannie; three sons, Hunter, John Dudley (Madison), and Marshal (Aevan); two brothers, Ney (Dana) and Harris (JoAnna); and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Memorial services will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 402 West Commerce St., Aberdeen, MS 39730, on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 3 pm, with visitation one hour prior to service and one hour after service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. John's Episcopal Church, P. O. Box 54, Aberdeen, MS 39730 in care of the "Fire Fund" to the benefit of his wife.
