Joyce Ann Word

Joyce Ann Word, 71,  born on August 29, 1952, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS.

Joyce was the cherished daughter of the late, John L. Word and Lillie Word. She shared a special bond with her beloved mother Lillie, who survives her. Joyce's memory will forever be treasured by Lillie Word. Joyce also leaves to cherish her precious memories, three brothers: Thomas Word, Charles Word, and Allen (Elaine) Word; and four sisters: Helen Burton, Mamie Hudson, Mildred King, and Alice Pinckney.

In remembrance of Joyce's life, a Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen. Following the Visitation, a solemn Graveside Service will take place on Friday, April 26, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery on Whatley Road in Aberdeen.

Joyce will be remembered for her kindness, grace, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her warm spirit touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As we bid farewell to Joyce Ann Word, let us hold onto the beautiful memories she has left behind and find solace in knowing that she is now at peace. May her soul rest in eternal tranquility.
