Juanita P. Pierce, 89, a beloved seamstress and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2025, in Prairie, Monroe County, Mississippi. Born on February 26, 1936, in Chickasaw County, MS, she lived a life dedicated to her family, her craft, and her faith.
Juanita's career as a seamstress at Futoria showcased her incredible talent and dedication, earning her the respect and admiration of all who knew her. Her work was not only a profession for her but also a source of joy and fulfillment, allowing her to share her creativity with others.
Juanita is survived by her three daughters, Katrina P. Walker, MacSanna Pierce, and Maxine Barr, who carry forward her legacy of love and strength. She is also survived by her brother, Alvin Pulliam, who will remember her with fondness and admiration.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. Pulliam, Sr. and Janie Mae Whitfield-Pulliam, both of whom instilled in her the values of hard work and compassion that defined her life.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Juanita's life during the visitation on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129 in Aberdeen, MS. A Celebration of Life service will follow on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Pleasant Plain Missionary Baptist Church, starting at 2:00 PM at 198 County Road 184 in Prairie, MS.
Juanita P. Pierce will be remembered not only for her skills as a seamstress but also for her unwavering spirit and the love she shared unconditionally with her family and friends. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
