Laterrance Preston Cherry, Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laterrance Preston Cherry, Sr., 47, who left this world on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, in Derma, Calhoun County, Mississippi.

Laterrance born on February 16, 1977, in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. He was a son of Henry Anderson Cherry and Shirley Ann Coleman-Cherry. He will be deeply missed by his father Henry and mother Shirley. Laterrance leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever remain in the hearts of his surviving family members. Laterrance is preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Badie,

He is survived by his son Laterrance Preston Cherry Jr., and his daughters Adrianna, Nivea, Amiya, and Mahogany. His presence in their lives brought immense joy and cherished memories that will be fondly remembered.

Laterrance also leaves behind his sisters Latoya Hobson and Latrice Dilworth. The bond they shared with Laterrance was one of profound sibling love and companionship.

The life of Laterrance Preston Cherry, Sr. will be honored and celebrated at the upcoming services. The visitation will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2024, starting at 12:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Ecru, Mississippi. Following the visitation, the Funeral Service will commence at 2:00 PM at the same location.

Laterrance will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, and the love he shared with those around him. His memory will live on through the stories shared by those who knew him best. May he rest in eternal peace.
