Lawrence Dwayne McShan

Lawrence Dwayne McShan, 54, of Beloit, Wisconsin, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.

Lawrence was born on September 4, 1968, in Beloit, Wisconsin, the son of Charlie "Lean" and Mira Jean (Davis) McShan. He grew up and attended schools in Beloit. As a kid he played little league baseball and learned to swim at the old turtle creek pool.

As a young man Lawrence was first employed at The Lake Geneva Resort. He later worked for over 10 years as an assembler at the Chrysler Assembly Plant in Belvidere, Illinois, at Top Die Casting Company in South Beloit, Illinois, along with many other places.

Lawrence was one-of-a-kind, a million-dollar brother, and a friend to many. He loved spending time with family and friends, laughing and smiling. He always enjoyed detailing and cleaning cars, taking a ride on the highway, and being a great father and friend.

Lawrence is survived by his daughter, Quaneka LaShaye (Kenny) Lewis; son, Dillion Schumacher; grandchildren, Jayhani Schumacher, Jaylinn Schumacher, and Kali Lewis; wife, Sherrell and children; maternal grandfather, James Davis; siblings, Jessie Lee (Barbara) Gordon, Chandra (Sandy) Spright, Stacy (Samantha) McShan, and Janice (Ollie) Clark, Jr; aunts, Bobbie (Ben) Eades, Sarah (Jimmy) Boyd, and Mary (Jimmy Dale) Townsend; uncles, Willie Clay (RubyJean) Davis, Lester (Pearlean), and Robert (Louise) Davis; best-friend/cousin, Kuluva Rucker; good friend/sister, Gwen Turner; and with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arthur Gordon; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Murkery McShan; maternal grandmother, Jessie Davis; uncle and aunt, David and Leslie McShan; and his special lady, Alexis Bryant.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home, 424 Prospect Street, Beloit Wisconsin 53511. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 5:00 P.M. Committal will take place at Pontotoc City Cemetery in Pontotoc, MS. Lawrence Dwayne McShan funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Usher Valley United Methodist Church, 754 Morman Road, Pontotoc, MS 38863.  Visitation will be 12 P.M. - 1 P. M.

Interment will take place on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Pontotoc City Cemetery in Pontotoc, MS.
