Lou Ester White, 82, was born on June 21, 1942, in Van Vleet, Chickasaw County, Mississippi. She passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo Mississippi. Throughout her life, she was known for her generosity, kindness, and unwavering spirit.

Lou's family was her greatest treasure. She is survived by her beloved husband, Tommy Lee White. Lou had six children: Steve McGregory; Waverly (Marcia) McGregory; Eddie McGregory; Ricky McGregory; Bessie (Clayton) Naugles, Beverly (Vincent) Cousin. She extended her love to Shirley Free and James McAllister. Additionally, Lou is survived by her step-sons, Isaiah White and Ben White, and her step-daughter, Rosetta White. Lou was a cherished figure in the lives of her god-daughter, Shakeria Ezell; a special exchange student Nele Hornbostel; and her extended family, including her brothers:  Waverly C. (Darlene) Holmes, Nathaniel (Macie) Holmes, A. J. (Wilma) Holmes, and Ellis (Shawn) Holmes. 

Lou's life was deeply impacted by the love and guidance of her late parents, Dilworth Holmes (Father) and LeAnna Neeley (Mother). She also mourned the loss of her brothers Hubert Holmes, Lee Willie Holmes, Robert Holmes, Henry Holmes, and Tommy Holmes, alongside her sisters Nell Meets and Grace Buchannon.

The memory of Lou will be honored and celebrated through a visitation on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129, Aberdeen, MS 39730. Friends and family are also invited to join in a Celebration of Life on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Saints On A Mission Church, starting at 2:00 PM at 103 South Jefferson Street, Houston, MS 38851.

Lou Ester White will be remembered for her warm heart, lively spirit, and the love she instilled in her family and friends. Her presence in their lives will be profoundly missed, yet the impact she made will continue through those who loved her.
