Mack E. Garvin

Mack E. Garvin, 72, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20 2024, at Saint Dominic's Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born on July 1, 1952, in Charleston, Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, to the late Alex Weekly and Lillie Garvin.

Mack was a devoted family man, cherished by his loving wife, Carrie Garvin, and his two daughters, Kim Miller and Monica Garvin. He took great pride in his role as a father and was a source of strength and inspiration to his family. His brothers, Al Garvin, TL Garvin, Affred Brooks, Jr., Jimmy Weekly, Stevie Weekly, and Bernard Weekly, along with his sisters, Shirley Brooks, Dora Young, Lula Grant, Betty Patterson, Annie Brooks, Evaline Hughes, Rachel White, and Teresa Govan, deeply appreciated his warm spirit and unyielding support throughout their lives.

Mack's legacy will continue to resonate through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, unwavering support, and infectious laughter. He will be missed dearly by everyone who had the privilege to know him.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life service beginning at 3:00 PM at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, located at 8466 Hwy 35 South, Cascilla, MS 38920. Friends and family are warmly invited to come together to honor and remember Mack during this time of reflection.
