Michael Patterson, Aberdeen, MS., died peacefully in his sleep at 7:35PM Thursday, September 8, 2011 at North Mississippi Medical Center of the long-term disease, sickle cell anemia. He had endured 48 years of pain, surgeries, and hospital stays.
Michael was born November 14, 1962 in McCondy, MS to Willie Morris and Sandy Pearl Patterson.
Michael attended school in Kansas City, KS. He graduated from F.L. Schlagle High School in 1980. He then moved to Atlanta, GA and worked for the IRS for several years.
In 1987, Michael moved to Okolona, MS and later married Charlotte Lawson. In this union, Jared Michael Patterson was born, his only child, whom he loved very much.
He loved Jehovah and died faithful. On July 7,1990 at the Pure Language District Convention, Michael was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Up to the time of his death, Michael gave Bible Readings via telephone tie-in, encouraged his brothers and sisters and preached about Jehovah's Kingdom whenever possible.
Michael had a life-long love of music. Before his health changes, he formed several bands. He was also a songwriter and composer. He released an independent album and performed locally as "Mic on the Mic." Michael produced several radio commercials and ads. He also appeared in and won several talent contests.
Michael also loved Chinese food. He cooked and ate it so often that the family thought he was Chinese. During his life, Michael owned a blue Chevy Malibu that he talked about quite often. He loved science; roller-skating and he had a desire to fly a plane.

Sisters: Sandra (Larry) Walker, Cynthia (Lico) Banks, LaWanda (Stanley) Gates
Nieces & Nephew: Shavonne Davis, Andrea Banks, Cortney Banks, Nicholas and London Gates, and great nephew Ashton Banks.
Step-brothers and step-sisters: Alan(Yvonne)Bland,Darrick(Lisa)Byas, Kimberly(Andrew)Guider, Neidra(Michael)Brown, Jim Mackey, Robert"PeeWee"Mackey, Michael Mackey, Lisa Mackey and Roger Mackey.
Michael has thousands of other relatives and spiritual brothers and sisters who loved him very much.
Sandy says "Michael was thoroughly loved and will be missed."
The resurrection hope is a promise and a reality.
