Orlando Dewayne Rice, Sr., 47, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Monroe Regional Hospital in Aberdeen, MS. He was born on July 12, 1976, in Monroe County, MS.
Orlando will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for his family and friends. His presence brought joy to those around him, and his memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
Orlando is survived by his loving wife, Felicia Nance-Rice; his sons, Orlando Rice, Jr., and Damian Nance; as well as a large extended family including his brothers Elton Carter, Jimmy Carter, Eddie Carter, Curtis Howard, Tommy Howard, Willie Howard, Raymond Howard, and Christopher Rice; and sisters Juanita Carter, Margie Carter, Jean Carter, Rosie Carter, Nicole Carter, Malinda Walker, Christine Devauld, Emma Howard, and Joyce Gilleylen.
He is preceded in death by his father Jimmy Lee Rice and mother Nida Lee Garth Howard-Rice. He is also preceded in death by his brother Steve Howard Jr.
Services to honor and celebrate Orlando's life will be held at Belle Memorial funeral Home Chapel in Aberdeen. A visitation will take place on Sunday, March 17th from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM at the Belle Memorial funeral Home Chapel located at 216 Hwy 25 South in Aberdeen, MS.
In the memories shared and the love that remains in the hearts of his family and friends, Orlando's spirit will continue to shine brightly. May he rest in peace.
