Paul R. Baskin, 97 of Trebloc, MS died Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Care Center of Aberdeen
Bro. Baskin was united in Matrimony to Claudie Bell Buchanan on December 25, 1936 to this union eleven children were born. He was a retired farmer, an avid reader, and fireside story teller. Some of his narratives are included in the book Memories of Mississippi by his daughter Wanda Jackson and have been adopted as a resource for the Civil/Human Rights Curriculum at McComb High School. He had a special aptitude for math and solving fractions.
He was faithful member and deacon at Macedonia M.B. Church until he became disabled.
He was preceded in death by by his wife, Claudie Bell, two sons, Lloyd and Willie Paul, three brothers, Giles, Nathan Jr. and Tommy, and three sisters, Susie, Lillie Mae, and Maude.
Survivors include, five daughters, Emma (Evanston) Adair, Columbus, OH, Mary Robinson, Seattle, WA, Lois Johnson, Chicago, Il, Wanda (Rev. Charles) Jackson, Liberty, MS, and Gayle (Pete) Lowery, Terry, MS, four sons, Curtis (Ora) Baskin, Kansas, MO, Wilbert (Irma) Baskin, Chicago, Il, Nathan (Vera) Baskin, Chicago, Il, and David
(Loretta) Baskin, Port Jefferson Station, NY, a special daughter-in-law, Christine Baskin
