Pauline Rowe Buckingham, 79, a beloved member of her community and cherished matriarch of her family, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Born on March 30, 1945, in Monroe County, Mississippi, Pauline lived a life filled with love, dedication, and deep-rooted connections to her family and friends.
As a devoted wife and mother, Pauline is survived by her loving husband, Bufford L. Buckingham. She also is survived by her sons, Steven (Melinda) Rowe, Patrick (Daffney) Rowe, and Richie (Tamanda) Rowe. Pauline was also a beloved sister to her sisters Earlene Jones, Alice Barfield, Jerry Dean Holliday, and Annie Mae Rowe.
Pauline was predeceased by her father, Walter Holliday, and her mother, Margaree Forshee, both of whom she remembered fondly and carried in her heart throughout her life. She was also preceded in death by her late husband, Richard Rowe; daughter, Katina Rowe; and brother, Willie C. (Mary Jean) Holliday
Her legacy will be celebrated through gatherings that honor the impact she made on those around her. A visitation will take place on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129, in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Following this, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, situated at 20622 Egypt Road in Aberdeen, Mississippi.
Pauline will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
