Russell Ewing life came to a close on September 15,2011 while residing at Elmwood Care Nursing Home. Russell confessed hope in Christ at an early age. Russell was born December 13, 1946 in Aberdeen, MS to David Ewing,Jr and Annie Pearl Smith whom both preceded him in death.
Russell moved to Chicago,Ill in the early 70's. He worked for many years at Minute Men of Illinois corporation.
Preceding Russell in death; brothers Walter Ewing and Henry Ewing; grandparents, Octavia and David Ewing, Sr., Melinda Young and Dickery Smith.
Russell leaves behind three children, Anthony Wiggins of Chicago,Ill, Shanda Rena Haughton of Prairie,MS and Jerry Smith(Pricilla) of Aberdeen,MS; two grandchildren; five brothers,Davell Ewing(Delois)of Aberdeen,Alvin Ewing(Dorothy)-,Calvin Ewing of Prairie, Mississippi and Obadiah Ewing,Danny Ewing of Chicago; three sisters, Annie Mae Cole(Frank),Eva Ewing of Chicago,Linda K. Smith of Prairie,MS; Four aunts,Manerva Walker-Prairie,MS; Idella Patton and Ruth Goodman of Chicago, Sarah Townsend of St Louis,MO; one uncle, Booker T Smith of Chicago,Ill: two granddaughters , Tyonia Smith and Jaliyah Smith of Aberdeen,MS and a host of nieces,nephews, relatives and friends.
