Skylan Jacobe Sherrod

Skylan Jacobe Sherrod, 20, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and, passed away on Thursday,  May 23, 2024 in Columbus, MS. He was born on December 31, 2003, in Lowndes County, MS. Skylan will always be remembered for his kind heart, bright smile, and contagious laughter.

Skylan leaves  behind a loving family who will cherish his memory forever. He is survived by his mother Lashundra Sherrod - Johnson and step-father Harry Johnson. His father Tyrone Davis mourns his loss alongside grandfathers Sammie Earl Brewer and Larry Davis, and grandmother Patricia Sherrod. Skylan's siblings Ke'Untay Combest, Tyreannia Davis, Tyasia Davis, Teleyiah Caesear will miss him dearly. He also leaves behind his uncle Al Sherrod, aunts Pamela (Jervais) Billups and Keishia Bradley, as well as great-aunt Patty Holmes.

During his time with us, Skylan touched the lives of many with his warmth and compassion. He had a special way of making those around him feel loved and valued. Skylan's passion for life and unwavering positivity will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

As we mourn the loss of Skylan Jacobe Sherrod, let us also celebrate the life he lived and the joy he brought to those around him. May his spirit live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Rest in peace, Skylan.
