Thomas Wayne Denton, 68, a proud United States Army Veteran, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Born on August 5, 1956, in Fayetteville, Jefferson County, Arkansas, Thomas lived a life marked by dedication to his country and community.
He is predeceased his beloved Father, Jim Sam Denton; and Mother, Thelma Watson. In addition to his parents, Thomas was also preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Ross Denton, Jimmy Denton, and Benny Denton; 2 Sisters: Thelma Denton and Alice Denton Thomas's service in the Army reflected his commitment to his nation and showcased his strong values and integrity. He was respected by friends and fellow service members alike for his unwavering dedication.
Thomas leaves to cherish his undying memories, 1 Son: Jonathan Denton; 4 Daughters: Jeanette Pittman, Tiffany Coffey, Kenya James, and Teola Denton; and 1 Sister: Georgia Coleman.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM, both at the Mount Zion Dentontown African Methodist Episcopal Church, located on 446 County Road 380, Calhoun City, MS 38916.
Thomas Denton will be remembered not only for his military service but also as a cherished member of his community. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.
