Vera Mae Clark

Vera Mae Clark, 80, born on August 13, 1944, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Mississippi. A cherished daughter, mother, and friend, she is remembered for her unwavering spirit and dedication to her family and community.

Vera's professional life was marked by her skilled craftsmanship as a seamstress at Vanguard, where she poured her talent into each stitch and design. She was a talented tailor whose work brought joy and satisfaction not only to her clients but also to herself, reflecting her pride in her craft. Beyond her career, Vera served on the Church Mother Board, a testament to her faith and commitment to her spiritual community. Her contributions to both her profession and her church illustrated her character: dedicated, compassionate, and deeply engaged.

She leaves behind three loving daughters, Shelia Howell, Teresa Woods, and Sherry Roach, who carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. Vera's strength was a guiding light in their lives, providing them with values and memories that will last a lifetime.

Vera is preceded in death by her father, Arthur Acker, and her mother, Vera Hampton. Although they have departed from this life, their influence and love continue to resonate within her family.

The community will come together to celebrate Vera's life with a visitation scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home, located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129, Aberdeen, MS. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life held on Sunday, April 6, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM at the Tabernacle Of Faith Church Of The Living God, situated at 1041 L Avenue, Amory, MS.

Vera Mae Clark’s memory lives on through her daughters and the countless lives she touched with her warmth and generosity. She will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
