Willie Ann Cunningham,87 died July 23,2011 at the NMMC in Tupelo. Mrs. Cunningham was a resident of Aberdeen.

Willie Ann Talley- Cunningham was born on April 29,1924 in Aberdeen, MS. She was the first of eleven children born to the union of Cassie Lloyd Talley and James Talley. Willie Ann was very proud of her status as the oldest. She always referred to it when introducing any of her siblings. On July 23, 2011 at 3:30 AM, Willie Ann made the transition from earthly life to eternal life at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.
Willie Ann accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at 2rd Baptist Church in Prairie, MS; While living in Aberdeen,MS she united with Mount Mariah MB Church and Johnson Chapel Holiness Church,later choosing Miracle House of Prayer as her church home where she remained until her passing.
On February 14,1944, Willie Ann was united in holy matrimony to Andy Cunningham. Sister Cunningham was the mother of fourteen children(10-girls and 4 boys). Sister Cunningham dedicated her life to taking care of her children.
Mother Cunningham was a homemaker, specialties were sewing and cooking (best cook on this side of heaven). Later mother Cunningham, worked at Bermans Dept Store until she retired. Mother Cunningham was a great woman of God. She dedicated her life to serving God. Mother Cunningham later became mother of the church at Johnson Chapel and Miracle House of Prayer, and was also on the mother board at the state temple.
Mother Cunningham leaves to cherish her loving memory, ten childrenb; Ann White, Amory, MS, Lillian Cunningham, Aberdeen, MS, Andy Cunningham, Jr, Chicago, IL, Annette Vasser(Arzabria), Chicago,IL, Virgie(Willie)Griffin,Aberdeen,MS., Sarah Vasser(Robert) Oaklawn, IL, James (Mary)Cunningham-Aberdeen,MS., Robert Cunningham, Salisbury, MD. Patricia (Cleveland)Brown-Aberdeen,MS and Denise Cunningham, Aberdeen,MS. 42 grandchildren (raised Eric Cunningham and Shevone Cunningham); 105 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren. Three sisters, Lillian McClendon, Cassie (Earlie)Garth, Annie Sue Talley; One brother, J C Talley(Linda), Sons-in-law, Alonzo Gunn, Walker Word; Sisters-in-law, Virgie Vasser, Olean Graves ; special friends,Sis. Sallie Lee Edmond, Sister Alice Smith;and a host of nieces,nephews,cousins,and other relatives and friends; her husband Andy Cunningham,Sr., four children, Susie M. Word, Addie B. Gunn, Phillip Cunningham, Cindy Cunningham ;and one grandchild- Anthony Cunningham all preceded her in death.
