Willie Mae Danner was born May 5, 1939 in Monroe County to David Jones and Katherine Moton. She passed from this life on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory, MS.
She confessed hope in Jesus Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Hamilton, MS.
She was married to James Holliday, who preceded her in death and out of this marriage one child was born, Betty Holliday Morgan.
She later married Johnnie Jordan, Jr., who preceded her in death and they had four children, Francis (Willie) French, George Holliday, Maggie McMillian and Cernandra Jordan.
She later was married to Hosie Danner who preceded her in death and they had no children. She had a stepson, Preston Danner who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Annie Clay and a brother, David Jones, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: five children, Betty (Jimmie) Morgan, Francis (James) French, George Holliday, Maggie McMillian, and Cernandra Jordan, all of Hamilton, MS; one stepson, Johnnie Earl Jordan, Jr. of Birmingham, AL; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; six sisters, Aldonia Robertson, Katie (Elsie) Anderson, Deola (Dennis) Lindsey, all of Hamilton, MS, Lena Moton, Catherine Moton of Lansing, MI, and Bessie (Billy) Dobbs of Amory, MS; four brothers, Freddie (Barbara) Moton of Lansing, MI, Joe (Ruby) Talley of Alexandria, VA, George Moton of Hamilton, MS, Willie Harris, Jr. of Kansas City, MO; special recognition to Ada Danner, Kathy Howard, Victor Cunningham and Dustin Smith.
