As the sun sets on the life of Willie Joe Johnson, Jr., 52, we gather to remember a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend. was born on February 10, 1972, in the heart of Monroe County, Mississippi, where he spent his formative years embraced by the love of his parents, Willie Joe Johnson and Genora Gardner.

A man of conviction and kindness, Willie leaves behind a legacy that transcends time. His devotion to his family was unwavering, evident in the loving bond he shared with his wife Denise Johnson. Theirs was a partnership built on trust, laughter, and enduring companionship.

In the tapestry of Willie's life, his siblings played integral roles. He leaves behind his brothers:  Billy Joe Johnson, Don Cornelius Johnson, and Terry Johnson; and his sisters:  Julia Gardner, Connie Gardner, and Eloise Gardner. Together they shared countless memories that will now serve as precious treasures of a life well-lived.

Willie's journey came to a peaceful end on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the Monroe Regional Hospital in Aberdeen, Mississippi. While we mourn his physical absence, we take solace in knowing that his spirit lives on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know him.

To honor Willie's memory and celebrate his life, visitation will be held at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen on Saturday, May 18, 2024  from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The funeral service will follow on Sunday, May 19, 2024  at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church at 12:00 PM (NOON).

As we bid farewell to Willie Joe Johnson, Jr., let us carry forward the values he exemplified - love without boundaries and compassion without measure.
